Made of two containers this house was designed by Spray Architecture for living and working, or rather creating. One of the containers includes the living spaces and has a flexible layout while the other is a sculpture workshop.
CGI Container Sales in Atlanta handled the delivery of the containers to the project site. The delivery required the coordination of multiple drivers. It also required an electric pole be moved before delivery could begin.

WFH shipping container house by Arcgency doesn’t look at all like an example of cargotecture that it is. But if you look inside the wooden clad you’ll see two stacked shipping containers making the two-storey part of the house.
We do tend to have extreme weather here, so I’ve made a few adjustments to account for that. In case of lightning, I had you could look here my electrician install grounding straps from the containers to a grounding rod driven into the ground.  I also decided to install hurricane straps that are wrapped through parts of the containers and secured to the ground.
Finally, how could we utilize passive solar energy for the container. We did this by placing large windows in the container facing south west.
It is clear that design was important, considering the way the house was built as if to defy gravity.
Touted as the Hampton’s first eco-container home, designer Andrew Anderson took more into account than merely the location of his luxury home. Whereas the four modules on the ground floor make up the residence’s four bedrooms, the top containers house the kitchen, living, and dining rooms.
Think carefully about heating/cooling/insulation, it is a large metal box at the end of the day and at least in the Australian climate, this is a really important factor.
Interestingly the architects made use of the original container doors to create a balcony on the side of the house.
That’s a tough question, and one that I don’t have an answer for. I began modifying shipping containers 10+ years ago. I have made so many mistakes I can’t remember them all, but I tend to forget most of the bad decisions and remember the good ones.
